Can i filter before data acquisition

Hi Everyone,

I have one question on Data Acquisition as below:

I am accessing the data from BO Universe 3.X, and I have prompts as well, I can do the filter option on prompts / filter after data aquisition, Can I apply data filters before Data Aquistion, if yes, please guide me how to do this.
